Mala Lutka – The Doll That Was Borne From the Mountains of Croatia

After seven decades, and now living near the mountains of Palm Desert, California, Anka still draws strength and guidance from the mountains as an energy worker. Anka was deeply connected with Nature as a child and learned its mysterious way from her mother, who was a shaman and the village mid-wife. From her, Anka learned to use the healing herbs and the laying on of hands. She remembers her mother healing wounded soldiers using only what the mountains provided and her healing hands.

The Mala Lutka, which is Croatian for “Little Doll”, is of the “old ways” of healing from mountain folk. Anka remembers that when she or one of her siblings was not feeling well, the Mala Lutka was brought out from the special cabinet to help them feel better. The Mala Lutka was special; reserved only for those times when they didn’t feel well, the Mala Lutka had the ability to take their pain and sickness away because it channeled natural energies. It had the ability to absorb their illness, taking it out of their bodies, and helping them to feel better. And now, after more than sixty decades of wanting to share the Mala Lutka to help other people, she brings the “little doll” to the United States.

A little more about Anka… After the collapse of Croatia’s economy, Anka was forced to spend a year in an Italian refugee camp. From there, she immigrated to Canada where she became a professional dressmaker. Within five years, she rose to the top of her profession. "I am a good fitter”, she says, "I work by my feel. I just need to touch it and it fits perfectly!’ That’s what Anka’s hands do - they make everything fit perfectly, creating balance and harmony in your body and your life.

From Canada, Anka immigrated to Southern California, creating a very successful business in the garment industry, employing many in need of work and specializing in “hard to fit” clients.  She later became a certified nurse’s assistant, incorporating her holistic wellness knowledge with care giving.  She believes that giving and receiving belong together.  For Anka, knowing this and living accordingly is to participate consciously in the flow of divine energies.

And now, her hands and her heart have come together to create and share the Mala Lutka to help people feel better. She personally energizes each “little doll” to harmonize with natural energies, with the intention of sharing the natural mountain energies with the people who need to feel better.
